A few weeks prior to the Shofar Worship Leaders Conference I dreamt that I was dressed in beautiful white garments in the inner courts of God and I caught a glimpse of the throne room. I was clothed in a beautiful white dress as a royal priesthood, a royal princess.
Since then, I felt that I wanted to paint a bride running to the throne of God. When I was approached to paint prophetically at the Shofar Worship Leaders Conference, the image of the bride dressed in a beautiful white wedding dress running up the stairs to the throne served immediately in my mind’s eye, and I knew that Holy Spirit wanted me to paint this.
I feel that this is the time when Holy Spirit is inviting us to boldly enter His throne room and seek His presence. Heb 4:16 says:” Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”. (NIV)
As His children, we can come boldly because the King is our Father. As His church, the Ecclesia, His spotless and pure bride washed by the blood of Jesus and His Word, we need to seek His face and enter into His presence.
How do we enter in? We enter by praise and thanksgiving.
“Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4, NIV).
The Word also speaks of putting on a garment of praise.
…” and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendour”. (Is 61:3, NIV).
I believe that God is teaching us how to do things from the Kingdom perspective as we move by faith and not by sight in the challenges that we face.
In this painting, I have tried to display the bride entering boldly into the throne room. There is a river flowing from the throne inviting all to drink from the living waters.
This painting has gone through a lot of processes where I have painted and gold-leafed the throne to only conceal it again with dispersive reflective rainbow coloured light emerging from the throne. Similarly, I have painted stairs leading up to the throne, only to cover them with reflective water.
As we enter into His presence, we step into the heavenly glory realm to experience heaven on earth. I have aimed to capture the heavenly glory of His presence by adding touches of silver, gold, and copper leaf as reflective elements.
The rainbow dispersion also represents His covenant promises made to us. The Word tells us that we are the seed of Abraham and heirs according to the promises of God (Gal 3:29). It speaks of God’s protection and His blessings.
Also, the bride is not far off, but she is very close to the throne, and she has lifted her dress as she is running towards her Father in the intimate place of worship, the holy of holies. We need to run the race and continue to step out in faith and seek to whole-heartedly pursue personal intimate relationships with Him.
We are to purify ourselves and live a pure and blameless life, and not allow our sinful nature to separate us from being in unity with God (2 Cor 7:1; Phil 2:15; Is 59:2). This is the time to repent and to actively pursue His presence in our lives. We need to seek Him individually, but also unite as a body of believers, His church, His bride, to enter into His presence. He commands the blessing where there is unity (Psalm 133).
I was also reminded that we need to worship Him in Spirit and in truth and rivers of living waters shall flow through us to nourish those around us (John 4:23-24; John 7:37-39)
Finally, the Scripture that Holy Spirit highlighted is:
“Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’” And he said to me, “These are true words of God” (Rev 19:7-9, NIV).
Remain in His presence and abide in His love. Enter boldly. His love is unfailing. His presence is sweet. Thank Him, Praise Him, Glorify Him, Worship Him.
Blessings
Corinne
