Holy Spirit Come

Surprisingly what immediately comes to mind is the Scripture that says: “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere” (Psalm 84:10, NIV).

To experience His Presence is beyond words. Unquestionably He created us to worship Him. I believe that it should be every believer’s heart’s cry to experience His presence. The more I get to know Him, the more I want to know Him. Even though He quenches our thirst, likewise He makes us hungry for more.

Undoubtedly I want to go deeper, and I want to discover His mysteries. Moreover I want His Holy Spirit to overtake me, to indwell me, to make His home in me, and to tabernacle in me. Ultimately my heart cries out: “Holy Spirit Come”.

Without reservation, I want His Spirit to fill me from within and to come upon me, to inundate me and surround me with His presence.

 

The Dove & His Spirit

After Jesus’s baptism the Spirit of God descended on Him like a dove. With this in mind I believe that it is safe to conclude that the image of the dove symbolizes the presence of the Holy Spirit.

“and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you, I am well pleased” (Luke 3:22, NIV).

The Word also says that “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams” (Acts 2:17, NIV).

Undoubtedly I believe that we are living in those days. I believe that this is the time of the outpouring of His Spirit. In light of the numerous prophesies we are unquestionably a part of the generation that will see the biggest wave of revival yet to come.

In conclusion I like to crown the meaning behind the painting with the following Scripture:

“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life” (Rev 22:17, NIV).
