This is a beautiful image of a yellow sunflower opening up. This image symbolizes our dependency on God just as the sunflower needs the sun.

 

The Son

I love painting God’s creation and hear how God speaks through the symbolisms that He highlights to me. In essence this aesthetic sunflower print represents that just as the sunflower turns its head towards the sun, we need to turn our head to the Son. Basically He is our life source, our ultimate creator, and we need Him to grow to our fullest blossoming potential. Likewise this sunflower is still in the process of developing and opening up and unfolding into its fullest beauty and glory, and so are we.

Shine

Moreover the colour yellow represents the glory of God. So also, we need to radiate His glory as His children and representatives.

To me the brightness also represents joy. In light of this all I believe that it is time to shine. It is time to choose to lift our heads to our Creator and live in the fullness of His joy which surpasses all understanding, just because we can rejoice knowing that He loves us, and we belong to Him.

The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him“.
