PREPARE THE WAY

Prepare The Way is a stunning depiction of preparing the way for the return of Jesus. We see a male blowing the shofar and we see someone wearing a fiery cloak walking in the background. The painting has beautiful bright colours and is the epitome of our prophetic declaration to be fulfilled.

 

THE BACK STORY

Prepare The Way is a very special painting for me. Since I became a born-again believer in 2005 Holy Spirit has been speaking to me about His return.

Prepare The Way is a picture of Deon van Rooyen, one of our youth-workers, blowing the Shofar, and an image representing Jesus walking in the background, His garment dissolving into fire.

Revival starts with us, with the individual. Seeing that, Prepare The Way is a call for revival. It is particularly a call to walk into the gifting and anointing that God has placed on your life to bring revival into your workplace, your family, and the sphere of influence that God gives to you.

 

God’s Call

Unquestionably God calls us for the great commission and to disciple others. With this purpose in mind, He calls us to ‘Prepare The Way’ for His return.

“Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:16-20, NIV)

Acts 1:7-8 says: ‘”He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.””‘

 

Prepare The Way

I believe that very soon, if not already we are at the edge of experiencing the greatest revival and outpouring of The Spirit before the coming of The Lord. With this purpose in mind, I painted Deon as a role-model and representative for the young men, but also humanity to rise up and take up our call.

It is my heart that ‘Prepare The Way’ inspires and activates you to step into the greater commission and assignment that He has on your life, in view of those that Holy Spirit wants to reach through you. May you bring your Holy Spirit ignited spark to prepare the way for the coming of The Lord.
