THE BACK STORY

The Scripture reference that accompanies the Walking on Water Painting is 2 Corinthians 5:7

“for we walk by faith, not by sight.”

 

Walking on Water was birthed during worship when Prophet Andre Bronkhorst ministered at our church.

I felt that I needed to paint taking a step on water. The journey of faith is not an easy one, but just as Peter stepped out of the boat to walk on water to Jesus (Matt14:28-29) when we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, we will be able to accomplish what He has called us to do. If, however, we lose our focus and take our eyes off our Saviour we start to sink.

Walking on Water reminds us that God gives us the ability to walk by faith and not by sight. Unquestionably He is the author and finisher of our faith (Heb 12:2).

Moreover He says that even greater things shall happen than when Jesus walked the earth (John 14:12)

He also teaches us that the just shall live by faith (Rom 1:17)

 

Activation:

I believe that God is calling us to step into our prophetic destinies and take that leap of faith. We are called to take the narrow road, and it will be uncomfortable, and we will be stretched, but it is the most beautiful journey to embark on. Without reservation this is the place where the supernatural becomes supernaturally natural. This is the place where we lay our hands on the sick and they recover. Regardless of any situation, here we see our faith answered and prophecies fulfilled. Last but not least it is the position of complete surrender into knowing that God is in control and all we need to do is trust Him.
