SUNFLOWER

Scripture reference: Rev 17:14

I love painting God’s creation and hear how God speaks through the symbolisms that I feel that He highlights to me.

This painting of the sunflower represents to me that just as the sunflower turns its head towards the sun, we need to turn our head to the Son.

He is our life source, our ultimate creator, and we need Him to grow to our fullest blossoming potential.

This flower is still in the process of developing and opening up and unfolding into its fullest beauty and glory.

The colour yellow represents the glory of God. We need to radiate His glory as His children and representatives.

To me the brightness also represents joy. It is time to shine. It is time to choose to lift our heads to our Creator and live in the fullness of His joy which surpasses all understanding, just because we can rejoice knowing that He loves us, and we belong to Him.

“Praise be to the Lord,
for he has heard my cry for mercy.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him“.
(Psalm 28:6-7, NIV)
