KING OF KINGS

The Foundation Scriptures

The King of kings painting  represents a prophetic image of the “Lion of Judah” wearing the victor’s crown.

Jesus is the King of Kings and the Lord of lords (Rev 19:16), and He is our king of glory (Psalm 24:8). In the light of the Scriptures, He is also referred to as the “Lion of Judah” (Rev 6:4-6).

He obtained the victory over sin and death for all of us when he conquered death as He took our place to pay for our iniquities when He died at the cross and rose as the ultimate victor (1 Cor 15:55-57)

As His sons and daughters we are therefore His royal off-spring ( 2 Cor 6:18) As the King’s children, we are “little kings”.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 peter 2:9).

We are more then conquerors through Christ and the finished work on the cross. As His children, we now rule and reign with Him. We are seated in heavenly places as heirs together with Christ.

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us” (Rom 8:37)

“But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,..”(Eph 2:4-6. NKJV)

Conquer to Reign

I painted the lion wearing a crown. Then God gave me the following Scripture.

Revelations 6:1-2 says: “Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see.”  And I looked, and behold, a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went out conquering and to conquer” (NKJV).

The heading of this chapter in the Bible is the “First Seal: The Conqueror”. I believe that this is the time for the church to walk in the authority to conquer and overcome the opposition that we face.

God has called us to rule and reign with Him and to bring heaven to earth (Matt 10:7-8). We are His royal offspring. You are the King’s kid and therefore also a king. This means that you have the authority to rule and reign over your circumstances.

“According to Revelations 1:6 and 5:10, Christ has redeemed us unto Himself, so that we may reign on the earth. “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Our redemption is to first rule and reign as Priests and secondly, to rule and reign as Kings on the earth”.

2 Tim 2:12 (NKJV) says that:

If we endure,

We shall also reign with Him.

If we deny Him,

He also will deny us

The Victor’s Crown

No matter how difficult our circumstances might be and how big the giants that we face, we overcome by The blood of The Lamb and The Word of our testimony. (Rev 12:11)

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Heb 10:23, NKJV).

Maybe you feel overwhelmed by your circumstances, or you made wrong choices, but as a son and daughter of the King it is never too late to repent and straighten your crown and choose to walk in victory.

It is your choice to allow yesterday’s wounds to steal your joy today, or to walk in victory. All it takes is to take one step at a time from the position of your Crist-rooted identity. This allows you to walk in freedom in the knowledge of who you are, because of Whose you are.

Our self-worth an value does not lie in anything we do or don’t do, but in God’s redemption and perfect love for us.

When we are established in His love, we can face any giant knowing that we will wear the victor’s crown.
