THE ONE

THE ONE 

The One is a painting of Jesus as described in the book of Revelations. I have portrayed Christ’s divinity and painted His profile with eyes ablaze and white hair.

 

The Painting

The One was birthed during the Face2Face 24 hour prophetic worship conference.

When I asked Holy Spirit what to paint, I felt that I had to paint His eyes. Then He reminded me that His eyes are as flames of fire.

I felt that I had to capture His humanity and divinity – He is both God and man, He is fierce as a lion, yet loving and gentle. I tried to capture Him in a way that we can relate to Him. In light of this, I highlighted His divinity by painting His eyes as fire and giving His flesh tone, beard and hair touches of a fiery-golden glow that illuminates Him.

Furthermore this portrait portrays distinct lion-like features and witnesses with my spirit that if I were to picture Him, this would be my idea of what He would resemble in His “human” embodiment. What really jumps out is the fierceness of the fire yet gentle expression in His eyes.

I always ask Holy Spirit to paint with me and through me and help me with every brush stroke. When I paint, my main prerogative is to please Him. I paint for the audience of One and if it touches a wider audience it is an added blessing.

As I was painting this specific painting a lady came to me and shared that she had a vision and shared that as she saw me painting she saw a chair behind me. She said that Jesus was sitting in the chair and that he was full of delight as He watched me painting. She said that I was painting for the audience of One. She also said that He was in anticipation to see which brushstroke I would paint next.

 

Scripture Reference

“The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire”. (Rev 1:14).

 

Face2face:

Last but not least I feel that this portrait is also a reminder that He is coming again. He paid the price for us to be reconciled to Him and He will fetch His bride. To put it another way, one day we will look at Him Face2face and give an account of how we have lived our lives.

Markedly we need to face the truth. Did we disregard Him and the price He paid for us, or will He say: “Well done, good and faithful servant!” … (Matt 25:21, NIV).
