JAMAICAN MANGO

Jamaican Mango is a bright and colourful image of the Jamaican Mango bird. The bird represents freedom, rest and joy. The background has soft earth and blue tones with specs of gold-leaf.

 

The Background Story

Jamaican Mango was the first painting that I painted on my return from America to South Africa during Covid. At the present time I sold everything that I could to attend first year BSSM in California. Consequently on my return I started from scratch again. At this time I lived at first in a 3 x 5 meter outside room with a cold shower in the heart of the winter. Furthermore I had no transport, no income, no finances, yet I had peace and joy that surpasses all understanding.

The main message when I painted this beautiful colourful bird was that the joy of The Lord is our strength. ( Neh 8:10, NIV). We can fully rejoice in knowing that as He takes care of the birds, He will take care of us. (Matt 6:26-27)

Holy Spirit wanted me to have fun with the painting, so I focused on using bright happy colours and added some additional gold leaf glory in the background.

Also the Jamaican Mango painting represents God’s supernatural as I had dreamt about a heavenly encounter during the time of creating this image.

 

My Heart for You

May you experience fulness of joy as you gaze upon this painting. It is my heart that you will be so established in God’s goodness and grace that His joy will overflow despite any challenges you face. Finally, may God’s rainbow covenant promises of His provision as represented in the Jamaican Mango be your testimony of His glory in your story.
