GLIMPSE

Glimpse is a beautiful abstract painting that invites you to look beyond the natural into the supernatural. It reflects tones of blue and gold.

 

The Mirror

When we dare to peak and take a glimpse into our true identity. In truth when we behold ourselves, our reflections, in the light, “the mirror”, of The Word we see ourselves as God intended. “For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known” ( 1 Cor 13:12, NIV).

When we read The Word we must realize that the Word is living and active and that Jesus is The Word become flesh. Moreover as we study The Word and meditate on the Word, we transform into becoming more Christ-like. The Living Word Jesus, manifests, and becomes flesh in and through our lives. In other words, His nature manifests Himself through the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives as we transform by meditating on the living Word.

The Word is a mirror: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit” (2 Cor 3:18, NIV).

Drink of The Living Water

Most important we only catch a “glimpse” of what is to come as we look into the mirror of the Word and drink the Living water.

He is the living Word: The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14, NIV)

He is the living water. “…but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14, NIV).

The Word washes and cleanses us, His bride, and says that rivers of living waters will flow from us, that is His Holy Spirit flowing through us.

“…so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word,” (Eph 5:26, NIV).

“…Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” (John 7:38, NIV).

Catch a Glimpse

To conclude I invite you to deep-dive into His Word and draw close to Him and He will draw close to you. “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you…” (James 4:8, NIV).

Once you’ve caught a “glimpse” you’ll never thirst again, but you’ll always be hungry for more…I wonder if you see what I see,…a piece of heaven, a “glimpse” of dare I say “heaven” behind the water curtain. Without reservation, look deeper,… look inside the waterfall, beyond the natural,…dare to see,… deep dive with me.
