LION

Lion is a stunning abstract painting of a close-up of the portrait of the lion. The flowy and loose painterly style is the benchmark signature of this work of art. The portrait is painted in blue and yellow hues against a dark backdrop where his fiery yellow mane emphasizes the spiritual meaning of this portrait.

Lion King

Lion is accompanied with the Scripture reference of Revelations 17:14

“They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with him are called and chosen and faithful.” (ESV, Capitalization of He is mine)

Although I painted the Lion of Judah at Art on Stage at Bethel in America, I felt that The Lord told me that He wanted me to paint another lion.

Markedly the lion represents the king of the jungle. He carries the highest rank in the animal kingdom so to speak. To emphasize God’s rulership, one of His names is the Lion of Judah.

King of kings

Firstly, He is our King of kings and Lord of lords. In truth Jesus is the ultimate King who rules and reigns over all and for all eternity. His Kingdom is everlasting. To this end He rules supreme.

The book of Revelations speaks of Jesus as the Lion of the tribe of Judah. “Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed…” (Rev 5:5, NIV).

Being that the lion is King, I believe that God calls us to rule and reign as kings with Him. Equally important He wants us to take dominion and walk in victory. He is calling us to take our rightful position as kings under the King, as children of God, and heirs together with Christ according to the promise.
